IMPACT OF THE SUEZ CANAL BLOCKAGE ON MARITIME TRANSPORT

Following Suez canal blockage by the “Ever Giver” at the end of march 2021, our freight providers are informing us of a major disruptions in the various freight transport flows leading.

However, it is likely that despite our efforts, SDCEM is not immune to this major disruption. It is therefore foreseeable that we will experience delays in the delivery of your goods even though our freight reservations have been correctly made and scheduled on time.

Concretely, for the coming months, we must expect poor visibility of arrials and ships departures as well as a real difficulty in obtaining bookings confirmation due to a chronic lack of space on board freighters.
